windcomm helps to ensure that the existing offshore potential of Schleswig-Holstein is used and that the region and regional businesses profit from it. To this end we are working together with the government of Schleswig-Holstein and the wind sector to implement our offshore-strategy for Schleswig-Holstein, positioning our region in this important future market.

Onshore
windcomm develops practical approaches to the problems involved in expanding the onshore wind energy potential. We aim to avoid potential conflicts by involving all relevant players and employing suitable strategies. This is the reason why we and our members support the government of Schleswig-Holstein in designating new land areas for wind power and in the effective management of repowering.

Export
windcomm supports local and regional companies on the wind energy export markets, providing information on new developments and facilitating contacts with projects and potential business partners in other countries.

Infrastructure
windcomm develops recommendations for grid expansion programmes in Schleswig-Holstein and supports companies developing projects dealing with wind energy storage.
