Offshore wind energy is becoming the driving force of Schleswig-Holstein’s economy. In the coming years this sector will play a major role in the region, generating added value, creating new jobs and contributing to climate protection.
Nonetheless, many barriers remain to be overcome. These range from the installation of offshore wind turbines to the development of service and maintenance concepts. These all pose problems which arise from lack of experience and insufficient information exchange among the various players involved.
windcomm schleswig-holstein would like to take up these issues and, together with our partners from the Offshore Center Danmark, create a new platform from which we can present exclusive first-hand information and generate international networks: OBMC 2009 (Offshore Business Meeting and Conference).

The windcomm offshore wind conference is being held in Husum on 16 November 2009. Come to Schleswig-Holstein and meet the international market leaders from Germany, Denmark, the UK and Norway in the unique atmosphere of this conference in Husum castle (Schloss vor Husum). On 17. November 2009 Offshore Center Danmark is holding a B2B meeting of European market leaders in Esbjerg where over 100 businesses will have the opportunity to exchange information and experience and to develop networks.
